Friends of Claremont School

Friends of Claremont School (FOCS) is a registered charity, run by a committee of Claremont Prep and Senior School parents. The committee meets regularly during term time and aims to organise social events throughout the school year, raising money for projects which directly benefit the children.

Funds raised help to buy valuable school equipment and provide financial assistance to students who would otherwise be unable to take part in some school activities, such as residential study trips abroad. The annual Bonfire Night Celebration, Christmas Bazaar and Easter Egg Hunt are firm family favourites and a wonderful way for the whole school community to come together to raise funds and have fun together. The FOCS team also plays a big part in sports events, theatre productions and our whole school speech days.

FOCS are a formidable force and have previously raised money for animals for the Prep School Science department, books for the school libraries and resource materials for the Learning Support department.

More recently, FOCS donations have included new ukuleles for the Music department, a printing press, new Forest School equipment, online learning support, ‘Hands on History’ workshops and publishing resources for the award winning Arrow editorial team.
