Charity & Service

At Claremont there is an understanding that our students enjoy unique opportunities that are not open to everyone. To that end, students are encouraged to seek opportunities to give something back to the community. There are regular and widespread student led initiatives across the school.

From the Nursery all the way up to Year 13, pupils get involved in many charity fundraising initiatives each year. The House system at both the Prep and Senior School plays a key part in driving fundraising ideas forward, which really motivates pupils to join forces to raise awareness and much needed funds and supplies for those less fortunate than themselves. Pupils experience first hand the hugely rewarding process of selfless giving, and the role they can play in making a difference.

At the height of the Prep School’s annual Fundraising Week and the ongoing student-lead fundraising projects up and down both schools, the spirit of Claremont is in full force.

At the Senior School, students take the lead in organising charity events each term, such as mufti days, netball tournaments, and music festivals to raise funds for causes like Crisis, Just One Tree and many, many more. Each year we raise about £3,000. Our Charity prefects guide students who are passionate about any issues they wish to promote and seek opportunities for student activism to support worthwhile causes.

Street Child United is the official ‘charity of the school’. Claremont, as part of International Schools Partnership (ISP), has committed to supporting Street Child United’s (SCU) campaign for the rights and protection of street-connected youth. Our partnership with SCU gives us the opportunity to support some of the world´s most vulnerable youth.
