The programme is ideal for students aged 10-14 whose entry level of English is A1/A2 and who wish to lay the necessary academic foundations for a successful Year 9 entry into the Senior school, followed by a two-year GCSE course.
Pre-High School Programme
- Entry requirements: Minimum 6 years of schooling with a good school record
- Language requirements: Near beginner
- Hours per week: 30+
- Course duration: 3 terms (September start- July end), 2 terms (January start- July end), 5 terms (January start – following July end)

At a glance
- Intensive Academic English towards A2KEY or B1 Preliminary Cambridge accreditations. Taught in very small classes to ensure rapid progress and personalised learning.
- Supported familiarisation with the English education system and British culture as part of a small and friendly school.
- Small bespoke group teaching in Science and Humanities to allow students to catch up academically whilst encouraging a focus on language development.
- Integration through mainstream classes in Information Technology, Music, Art, Drama & Sport.
- Access to our extensive co-curricular programme which includes activities around art, music, ecology and sport, to allow students to add another dimension to their studies and thrive emotionally.
- Integration within the school pastoral and wellbeing programme including daily contact with a Form tutor. Support and guidance from the Director of Boarding and the Boarding House Leads.
