Mission, Vision & Values

Claremont School has been in existence for close to 100 years. For most that time it was solely a Preparatory School but in 2011 the Senior School was founded on its current site in Bodiam. While rooted in the local community, and with an essentially ‘day school’ character, the development of the Senior School has also seen the addition of boarding in 2016 and an increasingly international dimension being at the heart of our identity.

This was further confirmed when the International School’s Partnership (ISP) took over the School in 2018. The school is now firmly established as a ‘local school with a global outlook’.

Claremont School - 100 years

We aim to put in place the learning environment, expertise, guidance and opportunities that allow every individual to flourish and discover where their skills and interests lie. We will not be driven solely by results in a conventional sense, but by instilling an attitude that leads to outstanding results in every student’s school experience.

We are one school and one community, with different sites, different teams, different people, from different cultures and different backgrounds, but we have one mission and shared principles that unite us all.
