Learning Support

At Claremont Pre-Prep, we recognise each child’s uniqueness and support all of our pupils to grow in confidence and become their best.

We encourage the children to use all of their senses to gain skills and independence across the curriculum. Specialist services add tailored support where appropriate. From Nursery upwards, attentive monitoring ensures the right support is readily available.

We create personalised programmes to boost children’s learning

Recognising each child’s needs

We recognise that each child is unique, so we support all of our pupils to “be the best they can be”. Our Quality First approach means lessons consider every child’s needs with suitably challenging work. No matter where their talents or abilities lie, every child is included.

Teachers and Learning Support staff work together using multi-sensory methods to equip students with skills and strategies that aid their learning and independence across every subject.

Tailored help

Where necessary, we create personalised programmes to boost a child’s learning. By working closely with every child our experienced teachers quickly spot when further support is needed and, if required, call upon specialist services who work in partnership to help a child progress.

Students also access academic, social and emotional support through activities outside of the school day.

Our supportive team

Our Head of Pre-Prep and Nursery works closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver outstanding support. From the start of a child’s learning journey at Claremont, close monitoring ensures that we meet their needs and make good all-round progress.

Developing student profiles from the very start helps us quickly spot when a student needs a little extra help – for example, a Speech and Language Therapist is always on hand to help our pupils communicate better. Our focus is firmly on helping each child progress well during these important early years.
