Claremont shortlisted for two Independent School Parent 2021 Awards

We are very excited to have been shortlisted for TWO Independent School of the Year Awards 2021, with the Senior School shortlisted in the ‘Performing Arts’ category, and the Prep School in the ‘Environmental Achievement’ category.

It is fantastic that the work of the Eco Committee, Eco Warriors and members of the school community who have supported the many initiatives to raise awareness of environmental issues has been recognised on a national level, along with the brilliant work of our Performing Arts students at the Senior School.   Hundreds of independent schools up and down the country submit entries for these awards each year, with this year reported to be a record year for entries. Given all the challenges the pandemic has thrown our way this academic year, we are particularly proud to be on the shortlist for awards focusing on areas of school life we are particularly proud of.
The annual awards programme is hosted by Independent School Parent magazine and judged by an independent panel of educational experts made up of heads, governors, parents and representatives of membership associations from across the sector and chaired by Dr Helen Wright, former President of the Girls School Association and Vice-Chair of the Independent Schools Council.
The finalists are announced in September and winners at an awards ceremony in London in October.
