Claremont Year 13s receive prestigious university offers

We are delighted to share the news that our current cohort of Sixth Form students have been receiving fantastic university and industry placement offers.

Here are some of the ones we have highlighted:

Joe C

Joe has received offers to study Physiotherapy / Sport & Exercise Science at Southampton, Oxford Brookes, Northumbria, Manchester Metropolitan and Nottingham University.

Joe has such a phenomenal attitude and has thrown himself into everything on offer, making the most of all opportunities in the Claremont Sixth Form.  He has come through a rigorous selection process for his chosen courses with flying colours, including group assessment tasks. The sixth form team are very proud of what you have achieved, Joe, and wish you all the best in your career as a Physiotherapist.”

Jake S

Jake has been awarded an apprenticeship for Quantity Surveying with Balfour Beatty.
When Jake leaves school he will go directly into employment with Balfour Beatty, and receive his training with them, gaining valuable work experience from the very start.
“Apprenticeships offer increasingly exciting opportunities for our students who are looking for a more vocational pathway. They tend to be highly selective, as currently demand for places outstrips supply. Huge congratulations to Jake on being successful with such a prestigious company and we wish him all the best in his future Quantity Surveying career.”

Maisie S

Maisie has the astonishing accomplishment of receiving offers to study Chemistry at Oxford University, Durham, Bristol, Exeter and Imperial College, London.
Maisie has had to prepare for and been successful in some gruelling interviews, and has achieved consistent success across the board.

Maisie is an exemplary student and has worked incredibly hard throughout her time in the Sixth Form.  She has a wonderful selection of offers to choose from, at some world class universities, and we are very proud of what she has achieved. Well done, Maisie!”

Meade R

Meade has received exciting offers to study Mechanical Engineering at the Universities of Cardiff, Durham, Exeter and Warwick.

Meade is an excellent student and has excelled in his Maths, Physics and Economics studies in the Sixth Form. I congratulate him on his hard work to date and wish him every success in the summer exams.  The Claremont team works hard to support our students in putting together competitive applications for their chosen courses and Meade‘s success with these Russell Group universities is testament to the quality of his UCAS application. Well done, Meade!”

Niamh F

Niamh has received offers of a place to read Medicine at both St Andrews and the University of London (Queen Mary). Medicine is one of the most highly competitive courses to gain a place on, and Niamh has done exceptionally well to come through the interview process and be awarded a place.
Niamh has been such a strong contributor during her time at Claremont. Many of us were wowed by her performance as Sandy in the school production of Grease, but she is also an outstanding academic and a compassionate and caring individual, who will be an asset to the medical profession. We wish her all the best for her future studies.”

Chen L

Chen has been awarded a place to read Fine Art at Edinburgh University. Chen has blossomed creatively in the Sixth Form and has produced a portfolio of work that has achieved recognition from a world class university.

We wish Chen all the best in his future studies at Edinburgh and look forward to seeing his final pieces at the Year 13 Art exhibition in the summer. Congratulations, Chen, from the whole Sixth Form team!
