Claremont celebrate International Mother Language Day 2024

In a world where languages are vanishing at an alarming rate, it’s crucial to remember the significance of celebrating International Mother Language Day. With nearly half of the world’s 6,000 spoken languages facing extinction, this day serves as a vital reminder to preserve not only these diverse linguistic traditions but also the rich cultures, histories, and heritages they represent.
Our vibrant school community boasts an array of languages: Spanish, French, Hindi, Gujarati, Russian, Japanese, Vietnamese, and many more. This linguistic tapestry showcases the remarkable diversity and talent within our school.
In celebration of this occasion, we invited some of our international students to share their thoughts and reflect on their connections to their home countries.
