Individual Needs Assistant

Claremont Senior School, judged by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas for a third successive time in March 2019, seeks to appoint an Individual Needs Assistant to provide in-class and online support for one Year 10 student.

 The successful candidate will need to show:

• A good knowledge of secondary level of mathematics and English
• Good computer skills to work with  pupil online using Google apps
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build good relationships based on trust with pupil and their family
• Team working skills to liaise with other teachers, Learning Support staff  and SENDCo
• An observant and responsive approach
• Flexibility – it’s important to be able to respond to the need of the pupil and adapt or change plans accordingly
• A positive, energetic and enthusiastic outlook
• A sense of humour
