Claremont’s Equestrian Success Continues

Jack D from Claremont School finished first in the recent Hurst College Showjumping Championships, at The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead.
Now in its 60th year, many top international riders have competed in the Hickstead Schools Championships, including Pippa Funnell and Robert Whitaker.
Riding Magic Mavis, and competing against 105 other individual riders in the National Schools Junior Individual Final, Jack crossed the finish fastest with a time of 35.32 seconds, 0.07 seconds ahead of the runner-up!
Fellow Claremont student and teammate, Hermione G, finished 12th in the same class – a huge achievement for her as she is on a new pony.
It follows achievements from across the entire Claremont equestrian team during the past 12 months, including a 90cm showjumping podium finish at the National Schools Equestrian Association National School Championships, and qualification for the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
