Seniors assemble for Street Child United…

Today, our senior school assembly was hosted by the International Schools Partnership’s lead charity, the UK based Street Child United.  In a packed Space Theatre, Co-Founder and CEO John Wroe and Street Child United World Cup Squad footballer, Sam Richards delivered an intriguing and  humbling insight into the work the charity carries out across the globe raising awareness and understanding of the day to day challenges street-connected children face.  The students asked questions about the charity’s foundations, the role of sport in raising the aspirations of street children and how funds are used to help them realise their full potential.  We know that the ‘spirit of Claremont’ is never more evident when our students are raising money to affect positive change in society so going forward we feel sure that Street Child United will benefit from their energy, creativity and determination.

This assembly follows the hugely successful Cricket tournament we hosted in the summer in aid of Street Child International, Claremont’s presence at the Street Child Cricket World Cup 2019 hosted at Lords and the ISP Schools around the World Challenge in which students and staff took part in the challenge to walk the circumference of the globe.
