Claremont Friends & Family

Claremont Friends & Family is a registered charity, run by a committee of Claremont Preparatory and Senior School parents. The committee meets regularly during term time aim is to organise social and events throughout the school year, raising money for projects which directly benefit the children of both Schools.  Funds raised help to buy essential school equipment and to offer financial assistance to students who would otherwise be unable to take part in some school activities, such as residential study trips abroad. The annual Bonfire Night Celebration, Christmas Bazaar and Easter Egg Hunt are firm family favourites and a wonderful way for the whole school community to come together to raise funds and have some fun together. They also play a big part in Sports Day and Claremont Day.

CFF are a formidable fundraising force and in 2018 funded a whole host of projects to include a new overhead projector at the Senior School and animals for the Prep School Science department. The funds also helped to buy books for the Prep School library and resource materials for the Learning Support department. Other donations have included new Ukuleles for the Music department, a printing press, new Forest School equipment, online learning support, a ‘Hands on History’ workshop, table tennis tables, materials for our wildflower meadows and resources for our wonderful news journalism club, The Arrow.

We are always looking for new committee members, joining the committee does not mean you have to give all your spare time, you can give as much or as little as you want. Being part of CFF involves making the important decisions on where our money is spent.
